Awww...now that I read the explanation, what I am about to offer is really not what you are looking for, however, it is MY latest and favorite "technology" innovation, and that is the new bluetooth headset called Jawbone by Aliph (with military technology). It's amazing! The cheapest I've seen it is $109 and I got on the web and found it at Tiger Direct (and no open boxes, mind you) for $89!
I love love love it!

With the rapid rise of social media and web 2.0. I discovered many stand-out innovations. So I will share two, www.blip.tv, to see it's potential check out http://markmolaro.blip.tv/. I also discovered an older app called WordPress you may have heard of it. WordPress stand out as #1 because it allows me to post articles, audio, and video keeping my content mixed and fresh.

With my first hand use of an iPod Touch, I realized that hand-held web-browsing doesn't have to be a painful experience. In fact, the Safari browser on an iPod Touch/iPhone is quite engaging and rather enjoyable-- it's truly almost like surfing the web on your laptop or desktop computer. Once hand-held browsers like the one on an iPod Touch/iPhone reach some ubiquity, it will change the way we think about accessing the internet--and change the way websites are developed and managed.

Ubuntu has been available earlier than 2007 - however the 7.10 version was released this year. After experience with restrictions on the number of installations some software will allow, among other issues, I am excited to experience an open source OS. I will be happy to share how great the impact truly is! Until then...

I find myself working from a number of different computers and mobile devices, and over the last two years have become a big fan of the instant messaging system that www.meebo.com has developed. It allows you to simultaneously log in to instant messaging software from AOL, Yahoo, Google, and MSN from a browser. But wait...

The part that I'm particularly excited about is a little feature they introduced in Nov. of 2006 (still counts!) called "popouts." You can now make your chat log "pop out" of the browser into its own small chat window. I love having instant messaging in an attractive and accessible format, without any installation, on all of the devices I use!

Some of my favorites: It's not nearly new, but I switched to the MacBook Pro, and I switched my wife to a MacBook and I can honestly say, life is sooo much easier now. Everything just simply - works. Other oft mentioned technological advances that make my work and personal life hum include, LinkedIn.com, Blogger.com, Google Docs (specifically sharing), and this little baby called the Supertooth Light from Blueant (recommended by a friend). With the coming mandatory handsfree law in July, 2008, this one is a must.
