SHERMAN OAKS, CA September 28, 2006 – At the start of business on Friday September 9, after nearly one year of planning, Management Action Programs (MAP) launched their new web site: www.mapconsulting.com. "We wanted to create a dynamic web site that is a resource of value added information for our existing clients as well as prospective new ones," said John Manning, Director of Marketing for MAP. "We felt it was important to communicate the core strengths of our organization: pride in the MAP heritage, people and products. We also wanted to promote our new book Vital Factors - The Secret To Transforming Your Business And Your Life (November 2006)." Of the ultimate project outcome, Manning says, "Early feedback from the site has been overwhelmingly positive"
To develop the new web site MAP engaged Enthusiast, a web solutions company located near Los Angeles, CA. In a way, the project was born in 2005 when the Enthusiast principals attended a MAP Management Training Workshop. They quickly applied the MAP principles to their business and worked closely with MAP to develop specific and measurable goals for the new web site. Enthusiast CEO Jon Cline said, "I was excited about the opportunity to work with MAP and better align their web site with their business."
By leveraging Site Director, a suite of software tools delivered as an on-demand service, the right people were able to be involved at the right time to help meet the project's demanding schedule. Providing greater information on the MAP team, client success stories, and Vital Factors was a snap as Site Director already had the tools needed for the job. This drastically reduced the time and cost of creating a new web site that reflected and supported the MAP brand, in addition to enhancing search engine results and usability.
In return, Manning said, "We trusted Enthusiast and admired their energy. The fact that they had completed the MAP Workshop also brought increased quality assurance to the project. Having a partner who was certified in the MAP System and spoke our language gave them the extra edge."
Enthusiast brought two of their creative partners onboard to handle the formidable graphic, web design and copywriting elements of the project. The copywriting was done by Christine, Ink., a full service writing firm.
"Christine picked up our mission and values really quickly and translated that into the writing. Her company added value to the project as a source of ideas, by learning our business model early on and by doing their homework," Manning said.
Nicolette Wales Design was selected for the critical web site and graphic design portion of the project. "Nicolette was responsible for developing a design concept that reflected MAP's brand and would communicate well to MAP clients and prospects," Cline said.
The client felt that this mission was accomplished.
"Nicolette's work was nothing short of brilliant," Manning said. "She developed a design that eloquently and accurately reflects the MAP brand. She also exceeded our expectations by developing a layout that makes it easy for the site visitor to quickly find the information they need."
