Change is a part of life these days, with ever increasing speed and fervency it seems. As we look forward to 2008, it is fun to reflect back and see what - with the pace of life - we might find especially interesting in retrospect.
You might be loving the "sleek new you" after standing in line for the iPhone back in January. Maybe a British bookmakers lowering the odds of finding aliens from 1000/1 to 100/1 with the discovery of another "Earth-like planet" just a hop, skip, and 20 light years away made you a believer. Al Gore co-receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on Global Warming certainly brought warm and sometimes hot sentiment from many around the web. Then there is Facebook, making moves and interrupting the adolescent social networking scene by adding applications, a controversial ad system called Beacon, and - oh yea, a ka-million new members including Enthusiast CEO, Jon Cline.

We hope you had a great year and are looking forward to another, filled with an equal amount of learning, laughing, and [insert activity here].
Enthusiast has had an eventful year too. We extended our name to "Enthusiast Web Solutions" in order to give a little more description about what we do. We chose "web solutions" to show that we are focused on solutions that comprise a wide variety of services and technologies but need to be made simple and measured toward agreed goals. We added three more great team members whose talents you will begin to see more of around here, even if you aren't "Enthusiast Powered" yet.
Our clients continue to make great strides. SpeedFreaks expanded their freakin' brand of motorsports entertainment from radio to include ESPN2. MAP increased its reach as it began providing easy online registration and payment for its powerful Leadership Series workshops (Think the power of Hoosiers meets your bottom line). We are grateful for the opportunity to serve these and the rest of our clients who are making great strides and seeing the results of their labors.
We are delighted the San Gabriel Valley Training Center, a developmental and vocational rehabilitation organization, selected us to help grow awareness so they can provide more opportunities to skillfully integrate the disabled into society. The USC Department of Emergency Medicine, the oldest and most active trauma center in the world took our vitals up a notch when they selected us to help market the myriad services they provide and recruit the next generation of Residents to their program. Finally, we will include only one more to avoid accusations of too much enthusiasm.
Natural disasters and destructive events occur often and unexpectedly with great consequence. To help keep our nation more stable and prepared for such events, American Technologies/American Restoration chose Enthusiast to help market their innovative services such as the Emergency Response Agreement, which in the event of a catastrophe enables their full weight towards restoring what was destroyed, reflexively, often beginning before the fire trucks arrive on the scene.
These are just a few examples of why we are looking forward to a more compassionate, prepared, and of course enthusiastic 2008.
Thank you for joining with us as we seek to better serve our clients and the web community in the future.

Ornaments are in great supply around town these days but certainly there are uses for them year 'round! Thanks to a reader comment on our Favorite Innovations from 2007 post, I discovered about blip.tv and then found an episode on making ornaments for home and office parties.
Certainly there were some ways your 2007 was made better that might help others. Add your own comment to let us know, and thanks Dante for the great innovation!

As you consider 2008 and the "resolutions" that go along with it, we recommend trying a way to implement "outcome thinking" as detailed in Getting Things Done by David Allen. And, since success is probably an outcome you want to see, at the risk of being trendy we have included a few examples of what success sometimes looks like.
