Recently, we sponsored a webinar called "The Power of Marketing" that provided some specific strategies tactics companies could do immediately to start improving their marketing. ForSight, another sponsor of the webinar took our advice and had this to reported that "almost immediately, qualified leads responded by clicking on the link and downloading their free report."
The tactic used was a simple and free way to build in-bound links to your web site, one of the most difficult aspects of search engine marketing. You too can benefit with success like this.
"I recently implemented a simple web optimization strategy, and it's helped generate tons of qualified leads with little work or effort on my part. Since in-bound links are one of the most important criteria used by Search Engines to rank your web site, Jon Cline of Enthusiast told me that an easy way to get more in-bound links is to post comments on other people's web sites (i.e. industry associations & publications).
I took his advice and began leaving comments on an industry message board. I included an offer for a free report and linked it with a unique URL so I could track my results. Almost immediately, qualified leads responded by clicking on the link and downloading their free report. Best of all, when people downloaded the report, they gave us their name and email address - so now I've got contact information for tons of qualified leads and I can begin proactively marketing to them."
